Ladies and gentlemen, prepare to step back in time and into an era of opulence and sophistication as we welcome the arrival of the new year in true '60s style. Join us for an unforgettable New Year's Eve soirée at Northern Lights Lounge, where the dress code demands nothing less than your most elegant formal attire—suits, ties, and cocktail dresses that mirror the glamour of the iconic Playboy After Dark gatherings.

As we embark on this journey through time, we must pay homage to the history of Playboy After Dark—a groundbreaking television series hosted by the infamous Hugh Hefner himself. Launched in the late '60s, the show was a cultural phenomenon, showcasing a fantastic fusion of live music, engaging conversation, and a guest list that almost served as a go-to guide to the who’s who of the era. For artists, intellectuals, and trendsetters alike, the event became a sanctuary of sorts where the vigor of the times was reflected in each dancing note of music and the very swirl of a cocktail glass.

Guiding us through the evening will be the charismatic MC, Austin Ahmad, who will be taking care to leave each guest amused and buzzing with anticipation. In true Playboy After Dark fashion, joining us live are Detroit favorites; Shadow Show, The Stools, Toeheads, and Sugar Tradition, whose performances will be framed by the sensational DJ, Johnny Athey, spinnin’ records throughout the night to add to this concoction of musical magic. This enchanting night will also feature the sultry moves of the captivating go-go dancer, Char, adding an extra dash of flair and excitement to this showcase of Detroit’s finest.

So, dust off your dancin’ shoes, don your finest threads, and get ready to welcome the new year with a touch of vintage glamor and a twist of rock 'n' roll at this exclusive event. Let’s clink glasses to a night where elegance, entertainment, and celebration intertwine, creating memories as timeless as the era that inspires us.
